How I organized our free samples including one for Guests

I enjoy getting free samples, but when I recently gave our Linen Closet a Makeover,
I realized they weren't doing us much good being stored in a plastic storage container on
the top shelf.. we weren't digging out that container to try them after all. :0)

So I decided to make them easy to access.. and I placed a small plastic bin on my over the door shelf
inside the linen closet.. and now they are easy to see so we won't forget about them,  and easy to grab and take with us if we go somewhere overnight, easy to use whenever we want to try out a new product.

I also decided I would make a 'Guest' bin up to place in our 2nd bathroom.
I used a small clear bin that I placed inside the cabinet, easy to see.
I included a variety of samples and small items, including a first aid kit, mini deodorants, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, toothbrushes, and feminine products.. so if ever a friend or family member is over and maybe forgot something - it is right there and they don't have to be embarrassed or ask.

I placed a chalkboard label on it, and clearly marked it "Guests" so they know it is theirs for the taking. :0)

So do you have a 'Guest' basket?
Can you think of anything to add, that I may not have thought of?

  1. What a great idea Tina....:) I don't know why I have never thought to do that with sample items and the guest basket is a fabulous idea! I am hoping to clean & organize my bathroom closet this weekend and I will have to keep this in mind!
