Repurpose a Solar Light into a fun table top night light

We had a couple solar lights that were damaged by a weedeater.. Lol..
instead of thowing them out after I replaced them, I turned them into a tabletop solar light.

I used a couple of jars, 2 solar light tops, rope, and my hot glue gun.

You can add items inside the jar if you like, I used sticks inside the larger jar.. Then I
simply glued the solar light to the jar.

Then I hot glued rope around the top for a decorative accent.

They work beautifully and look so nice on the patio table!

Please note: I wouldn't leave these outdoors in the rain however, because the hot glue doesn't seal them completely. ( I found this out the hard way and will have to redo them) :0)

  2. Oh how clever! I have a couple of little solar lights that the tops have broken off of (tripping over them while mowing or something), this would be the perfect thing to do with them!
