Going Gingham in the kitchen

Several months ago I decided to change up my kitchen colors and
decided I wanted to use red and turquoise..
so I started searching for 'red' linens.

I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a true red in linens.

Burgundy, no problem..
Brick red.. sure,
but a true bright red?  Nope.
And it was pretty much the same problem for aqua/turquoise as well.

Well finally I found it..

It isn't the exact shade of aqua I was looking for, but after putting it on my table
and adding in the layers, it is pretty much perfect.

I used the coordinating napkins and towels as accents around the kitchen to
add in more pops of color throughout the space.

I used them on my china hutch here:

I folded some of the napkins and draped them over a simple curtain rod for a
 no sew valance..   so cute!

I even used the matching gingham fabric velcro closure that was actually a part of the
packaging of the tablecloth, and it fit perfectly around my glass candle holder!
Adorable..

So glad to have finally found a true red..
and polkadots, who doesn't love a cute polkadot pattern? :0)

Red and Turquoise at last.. Yay!, and fun patterns and prints makes it even better.

Thanks for looking.
