Hello there, Happy Fall, a quick note, and simple DIY for fall

My title is really catchy right? :0)
I wanted to pack quite a few things into this post so I just called it like I saw it. Lol.

So here we go:

1).   Hi there!

2).   Happy Fall!

Fall? Seriously, we didn't really get a summer vacation feels like around here so fall
has kind of snuck up on us, but then again I am ready for the fall decor, cooler weather,
and pumpkin spice candles! Yes, please.

3).   My quick note:

I thought I would check in today and let my blog friends know where I have been.

I am not going to go into a lot of details about it at this point,
maybe someday I will.  However, that day isn't today. :0)

First of all I want to Thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
for keeping my daughter and I safe and for helping us through all that we have
went through and each and every day.. Thank you Lord.

My daughter and I were having a normal day several months ago..
We had went to town and were on our way home.
While at a stop sign at an intersection along a highway we
were rear ended by a Semi Truck-Trailer.
(which hadn't slowed down from what we were told)

It was quite traumatic to say the least.. and it is just not something
I am really wanting to talk about at this point except to say that God
has certainly been with us and continues to be.  God is good!

A lot of doctor visits and so on.. which is still ongoing,
but we are doing well for the most part.

So I just wanted to let you know what has been going on and why I haven't
been posting the last several months.

4). On to a simple DIY..

Fall decor is in full swing.
Here is what I did for my back deck using some misc. items and
adding in some fall touches.

I used an old weathered wood barstool that has been outside and used as a plant
stand for years and I  placed a vintage coal bucket on top with a fern tucked inside,
and added a metal sunflower stake.
Then I placed a mum inside another rusty old bucket, and just added things here/there
such as the upside down flower pot with solar light, the white pumpkin I made from
canning jar lids, and my simple DIY:  an old window that I simply hand painted
a pumpkin and the words Happy Fall on to it.

I really like how it turned out for being a hodge podge of stuff, most of which I
already had.

So have you noticed the Christmas decorations are already in the stores?
Did it make you go huh? or gasp? or want to start decorating for Christmas? :0)

I saw some of the prettiest Christmas tree's set up already and I seriously
kind of wanted to buy a pretty white flocked one that we looked at.
(but I did not)

Is it me or does it seem to get earlier each year?
Have a great day!

  1. Oh my Tina! I am so sorry to hear of your accident but thankful to hear you are both OK. How scary! You have a good reason for not blogging. I haven't blogged much myself but life has just been busier than usual for me. Your fall decor is so pretty. We had such a cool day here in Florida and I loved it! Got the windows open and airing out the house. Prayers for your family.

    Hugs, Vicky
