I have been wanting to change up my makeup vanity for a while and with the weather we
were having last week it was the perfect time to get this project done.
Here is a reminder photo of my makeup vanity and how it looked after
I made a lighted mirror to go with it and painted it a bright pop of color.
While I do love the peacock blue color, I was ready for a change.

So I cleaned everything off of it, wiped it down and started painting.
I am happy with how my kitchen cabinets turned out, and since I had
the paint on hand.. it was a definite win-win for a rainy,
feeling a little stuck in the house kind of week.

I chose to paint the top in the shade: classic black and then decided to dry brush ('faux distress')
over the white to show off some of the pretty details a little more.
Plain white looked good but I decided that it needed a little something.

After the paint had dried well, it was time to get it back in order.

I think a light shade of blush pink would be soooo pretty as well.
However for now the white is a welcome change.
I am in the process of trying to figure out what else I want to do in this room.
However, that is kind of a ongoing thing in just about every room,
and the outdoors for that matter.. Lol.
I do like projects ya'll. :0)
I am leaning towards painting the walls a little darker shade of gray,
currently they are very light with one dark gray wall, which I really like the color of.
I am just not sure if it would be too dark if it was on every wall.
So possibly something in between the 2 shades.
Of course then I need to decide if I am leaving the one wall dark or painting them all.
Hmm.
Decisions, decisions.
Have a great weekend!
Blessings,
-TinaH
