DIY PRETTY EASTER DECOR USING CANDY CONTAINERS

Happy Friday!

Today I am sharing some Easter Decor that I made using some really fun candy containers that look like a chocolate bunny!  So much fun!!

While looking at the Easter section at Walmart I came across the cutest candy containers that look like chocolate candy bunny rabbits.   I knew they would be fun to use for projects and to decorate my home with for the Easter holiday.

The first container that I used I knew that I wanted to turn into a pick to add into a floral arrangement.

So I opened up the candy container and used some wire cutters to snip a small v out of each side of the bottom of the container just big enough to insert a bamboo skewer inside of.  I used some hot glue to secure the container back together and added a little extra glue around the skewer to secure it as well.
I used a galvanized planter some styrofoam and faux flowers and I think it turned out really pretty.
A fun floral arrangement to add to my decor for Easter.
(can see the video here  on my youtube channel for better details on how I made all of these projects)

For the next container I chose to dress up a candy jar.

I used a half gallon sized jar that I had purchased at Walmart, then simply added a little bit of hot glue to the bottom of the bunny to secure it inside of the jar.

Then I added a little bit of Easter grass for decoration as well and dumped in a bag of chocolate candy eggs.

I also tied a simple bow to the top of the lid and I think this is just so adorable.

The next container I took apart to use one half of it on a wreath.

I used a grapevine wreath form, tucked in some boxwood picks and added my bunny to one side with a little bit of hot glue.

Then I made a bow to add to my wreath using some pretty burlap ribbon in a spring green shade, and
chose to add a carrot embellishment to the center of the bow along with a small bow made out of twine.

I could have added soooo much more to this wreath and I thought about adding in some pretty faux florals or a much bigger layered bow,  but I am actually liking the simplistic look of this one.

To use the other half of my bunny container I chose to use a picture frame.

I had a pretty silver framed 5x7 that I had bought at dollar tree, so I simply removed the paper insert and placed decorative scrapbook paper inside.

Then I tied a simple bow around the neck of the bunny container and used some hot glue to attach it to frame.

I love how this turned out.. so fun and can easily be tucked into so many different places around the house.

The containers actually stand up very well on their own so I placed another one on the tray on our kitchen table with one of the little carrots and I think it just adds a fun extra touch for spring.
