bed frame.
I wanted to either change it with paint, buy something new, or build a headboard.
I chose to start with paint as it is the least expensive option,
and see what I thought after that.
So welcome to Master Bedroom Update #1.. farmhouse style.
So here is a before..
I started by removing all the bedding, mattress etc.
Then got to work sanding.
After I was done, I took a damp cloth and wiped it all down to remove the dust.
Then I was ready to paint.
So I used one of my favorite paintbrushes and got to work!
After I had the coverage I wanted and the paint had dried well, I wanted to give it a chippy rustic
look so I used sandpaper again to rough up the edges and different area's of the frame.
I absolutely love it!
I am so glad I chose to paint it, it was quite a bit of work but oh so worth it!
On to more room updates..
The side table, my dresser, the smaller dresser can stay or go, I also want to change up the lamps
or at least the lamp shades.. and so on.
That's a good start though right? :0)
I had already purchased a couple new pillows to add in. The large grey set was a really good
price for the 2, and then I also picked up the navy blue pillow covers that are so soft and have
a nice stripe texture to them. (come in several colors)
I hope you enjoyed seeing the transformation and if you'd like to see it in better detail,
I made a video. (linked below!)
Blessings
