Spring Decor - DIY and Decorate

Good Morning!

I am so ready for spring and ready to start decorating!
So while my initial diy project didn't quite go as planned and has been put on hold (mentioned in video)
I came up with another idea and I am loving how it turned out!

I ended up making a day out of this project and going to the store and I did get a little video footage while at the store for fun if you'd like to check out the video, I will have it linked below.

I started out by going in dollar tree to see what I could find there, and I found some pretty spring ribbons, faux florals, a metal bucket, and a pretty bunny rabbit garland.

Then I went in Walmart to see if I could find a couple of items that I was wanting for a wreath project and that was a total fail.. they didn't have what I was looking for in stock so I switched gears and came up with another fun project to work on instead.

I also found some really pretty lavender picks, and a flower pot that I was needing for a plant I just recently bought.

After I got everything home I was ready to get my snake plant potted up!

So glad I chose to go with the crisp white planter!

For my diy project, I purchased this 12"x12" whitewash sign to use and some fun letters.
I have been wanting something to hang on the wall and change out my last winter picture for spring, but
just wasn't sure what I wanted to do and I think is going to be perfect.

I wanted to paint the letters and arrange them on my sign, and I was debating between black or dark gray and I chose to go with dark gray.

I used a sponge brush to mix up my paint color then I gave each of the letters a coat of paint.

After they had dried I just arranged them onto my sign until I had them where I wanted them and then I hot glued them in place.

I wanted to dress it up more, so I used a corrugated metal heart and hot glued that in the center of
the letters, then I also added a simple jute bow.

I took down my winter theme picture and hung up my new farmhouse sign and I love how it turned out.

I wanted to decorate the side table as well, so besides my new plant I got out a vase and some faux florals
and worked on a faux floral arrangement to add some pretty spring color.

After the last couple of weeks with all the snow and extreme temperatures I really just wanted to add in some pretty spring elements.

I am loving how this little side table turned out!

If you'd like to see in better detail how I put this all together I did make a video and it is up on my youtube channel HERE.  (also  have it linked below)

Blessings,
