DIY Simple Farmhouse Style Easter Decor for 2021 using my silhouette

I thought it would be fun to create some new vinyl decals for the upcoming Easter holiday and see what kind of simple farmhouse decor projects I could come up with.

I started by having my daughter draw me some bunny rabbit silhouettes, I wanted a bunny that is standing and one that is sitting and I think she did an amazing job.

I turned them into decals using my computer and silhouette and I love how they turned out and look forward to using them in our Easter decor projects this year.

The first project I worked on was a simple welcome sign.

I started with a whitewash wood sign that I had purchased (under $3.00)
and a wood bunny cutout.

I wanted the bunny to be white but have some of the natural wood showing through so I used some white acrylic paint and brushed it lightly over the top leaving some of the natural wood.

I made a happy easter decal and placed it onto the bunny.

Then I used hot glue to attach it to the sign.

Since the bunny had a predrilled hole I wanted to hide that and used a small aqua blue ribbon and just tied a simple bow and hot glued it in place.

Then I added a metal Welcome sign that I had purchased at Dollar Tree last year.

So cute!  I had thought about adding some florals, a big bow, but I really just liked the simplicity it had and chose to leave it.

Fun and simple with some farmhouse style.

The next thing I worked on was dressing up the galvanized bucket that I had purchased.
(dollar tree)

I used the same happy easter decal but in white letters, and 2 bunny decals.

I think it makes a fun display piece or really cute and unique Easter basket!

I wanted to dress up some simple jars so I chose to use the standing white bunny decal on them as well.

I really like this look and I think the plain jar would be really cute with some candy inside!

I took another one outside and gave it a coat of white spray paint.

Then I removed the decal and filled it with decorative easter grass.

How fun is that?
Then I decided several of these together would be adorable and I made 2 more.

I changed the Easter grass colors and I love how these look together!
So much fun!

The last project I worked on is a chalkboard sign.
I wanted to display the words He is Risen but I wanted it to have a chalkboard look to it.

Using a picture frame I had purchased at dollar tree I took it apart,  and cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside the frame and gave it a coat of chalkboard paint.

I could've probably used a matte black spray paint or black cardstock perhaps if I had it handy, but I had the chalkboard paint so I went with that.

Then I placed the cardboard in my frame and put it back together (I didn't use the glass) and then I placed my decal on the front.

Love how all of these turned out and am looking forward to using them in our home for
the Easter holiday!

Blessings,
