DIY Jewelry Display using a frame

I noticed I wear the same jewelry pretty much most of the time..
I have a few 'go to' favorites.. and then the others are kinda hidden away.

Well, I decided I would like to display a few pieces of jewelry on my dresser, but wanted a stand type of display.

I knew I wanted to use Cork, so I picked up a package of cork board sheets at hobby lobby a while back.

I was debating whether to build an easel or frame, but I went for simple on this project and decided to use a picture frame.. so I got a 8 x 10 photo frame, and my exacto knife.. (and scissors - not shown)

I took the glass out of the photo frame and placed it onto my cork to get the exact size I needed.
Then I scored the cork with my exacto knife, removed the glass.. and then cut the cork with my
scissors.
(I thought I would have to use the exacto knife to cut it, but my scissors worked just fine, so
I didn't need the exacto knife for this project after all.. I could've just used a pencil to outline the glass for the size needed, then cut it with scissors.. oh well, live & learn) :0)

Then I placed my piece of cork into my photo frame.. and placed it on my dresser..
a few push pins and some jewelry.. :0)

Just what I was looking for..   I  really like how I can change it up, and display different things just
by moving some push pins around.     :0)

I am your newest follower and would love for you to stop by for a visit sometime. I am having a sweet little giveaway as soon as I reach 25 and only those 25 will be in the drawing....so really good odds!
