DIY Fall Decor Using Window Clings from the Dollar Store

Good Morning!

I am so ready to start decorating for Fall this year..
I don't know if it is because of spending more time inside or what, but I am ready!

So today I am sharing some projects that I worked on using this set of dollar store
window clings and I love how it all turned out!

I knew I wanted to use the window clings and turn them into some sort of decor that I could use
around my home in a more permanent way and not as a window cling, so I chose to use 2 of these
square shape signs that I purchased at dollar tree for the medium sized clings.

I wanted the surface to be as smooth as possible so I used a piece of sandpaper to sand down
the surface the best that I could.

Then I wiped off the dust and started painting.

I chose to go with acrylic paint in a pretty shade of gray, called Timeless Gray.

While the paint was drying I chose to work on updating some inexpensive pumpkins that I
had also purchased.

I picked up 3 foam pumpkins in different shapes and sizes and chose to paint them in some fun
colors to go with our farmhouse style and to coordinate with the other pieces that I am working
on.

I am really drawn to the gray, white, and mint/aqua shades this year.

When the sign had dried and I had the coverage that I wanted I added a coat of mod podge to the surface,
then placed my window cling where I wanted it and added another coat of mod podge over the top.

I did the same thing with the other window cling that was a similar size.

You know I had to use the big window cling as well, so I found a sign that I had purchased at dollar tree at valentines day to use with it.

I simply cut it down to size, and used sandpaper to smooth the cut end, then painted the sign
the same pretty shade of gray.

I added my cling to the front the same way, then chose to add 2 holes to the top corners so I could hang this sign if I wanted to as well.

I simply used jute for the hanger by threading it through the holes and tying some knots.

Here is a look at how they all turned out!

I am so pleased with how these turned out,  I got right to decorating with them!
My first kick off to decorating for fall and I am loving this little area on my side table.
So fun!

Have you started decorating for Fall?

Blessings,
