My DIY Little Red Christmas Tree Hauling Truck

(contains affiliate links)

Don't you just love the old vintage trucks that are hauling a Christmas Tree in the back?
They are just so much fun.   I had been searching and searching for one to add to our decor.
I ran across one at TjMaxx that I almost bought.. then of course later wished I would have, and
when I went back.. you guessed it, they were all gone!

I found others since that one,
but I am just not willing to dish out that kind of dough for them.

So we went on a mission to see what we could find to make one.
The toy section! :0)

My husband found 2 different vintage replica toy trucks, and this one is the one
I chose.

So I removed the truck from the packaging and got a small bottle brush tree from my
Christmas decor supplies, my hot glue gun, and some red/white twine.

First I placed a dot of glue on the end of the bottle brush.

Then placed it where I wanted it, and added a tiny dot to the top of the truck where the tree
touched.

Then I cute a piece of my twine and tied a bow around the top.

So cute!

If you'd like to make your own, I found a couple other fun options that might work:  Vintage red (ford) truck, or another Vintage red truck (chevy) Here.

I am so pleased with how it turned out.
It goes great with my  DIY Decorator Pillow, that I recently shared:

and also with my new garden flag I picked up:

I am looking forward to putting it outdoors soon.

Here are some other fun Christmas Truck Theme items I came across while
looking online.
