I use to always put my mixer away when I wasn't using it...
However, I tend to use it often,
so I decided to just leave it out instead of lugging it
in and out of the cabinet.
(this is no lightweight piece of equipment after all)
Well, I actually really like the clean white mixer.. but there was
this little thought that I had...
' I wonder what it would look like spruced up a bit with a little color?' hmm...
Do you have those little thoughts too?
I had seen decals made for decorating mixers in the past...
and since I actually have colored vinyl on hand...
and I own a diecutting machine...
I decided why not?
I knew if I didn't like it all I had to do was peel it off and toss it.
So I got my cricut expression machine set up, picked out a colored vinyl, & picked out a design..
and within a few minutes my mixer went from this:
to this....
Cute huh?
I just went with something fairly simple... mostly because I wasn't sure I would even like
the looks of it, and I wanted something that I could easily peel off without
too much hassle in case I didn't like it, or down the road when I decide I don't
want it on there anymore... ya know, when I change my mind and all. :0)
But for now... I really like it - yep, it's a keeper!
(specifics on the vinyl cutout... font was from craft room & swirl from the storybook cartridge)
Notes.. really like my cricut expression, but seriously considering getting a silhouette cameo from
all the features it offers. :0) We will see...

I love it and I love your mixer too. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThanks Marty! Have a great weekend!
DeleteCute, cute, cute! I've seen this done before but I love the color you chose with the white and the font and design are perfect! So easy to change up when you feel like it too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Vicky
Thank you Vicky, Hope you have a great weekend...
DeleteReally cute I have been meaning to do this for ages. I wish now I had gone with white I went with pink and in my soon to be decorated kitchen it's going to stand out like a sore thumb!
ReplyDeletePink sounds beautiful... when I bought my mixer a few years ago they only had white and black to choose from at that particular store.. or I probably would have chose a color also. :0) I know that kitchenaid use to sell covers that just slipped over the mixers too, so maybe that is an idea.
DeleteBest to you in decorating your kitchen, and thanks for stopping by.
I love this! I always get things in neutral colors because I change things up a lot. A little vinyl would snazz things up so all of my things weren't so boring! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather...
