update our lamps somehow or replace them with something new.
I have not found anything that jumped out at me that I really wanted to spend the extra money on,
so I decided to see what I could do with the lamps that we have.
I started by wiping down the lampshade with a damp cloth to make sure the surface was clean and free from dust.
Then using some white paint I got to work.
I used some paint that I had on hand and just added a small amount of water to thin the paint
slightly. I felt like it helped it go on so much more smoothly.
It took 3 coats of paint to get the coverage I wanted,
and I am really happy with the result.
I purchased some pom pom trim online as I wanted to dress up the lamp shade a bit more,
so using my hot glue gun I put the trim in place.
I am loving how this simple project turned out and what a difference!
Of course budget friendly is always a huge plus in my book as well!
Here is a side by side of the before/after:
I love the fresh new look and think they will work perfectly in our master bedroom with all the
other updates that I am working on in there.
(Will be sharing more soon)
Blessings,
- Tina
