PRETTY in Mint Green DIY Fall Decor Ideas | Dollar Tree Updates

Sharing some fun new DIY Pretty Fall Decor today!

I am really enjoying the mint green and aqua shades and wanting to incorporate more of it into my decor, and if you have followed me on my youtube channel then you know I really like decorating with the vintage truck.   I have had a red metal one that I decorate with for the different seasons for a while now and they recently came out with new colors so I knew I wanted the light aqua one as well!

I also wanted to work on some more fall decor pieces using the mint green or aqua shades so that is what I am sharing today!

I started with this truck sign, and a wood pumpkin that were both purchased at dollar tree.

I turned the sign over and removed the hanger, then gave it a coat of mod podge.

The next thing I did was add a piece of scrapbook paper to the sign, cut off the excess and set it aside to dry.

Then I moved on to the wooden pumpkin.
I used a pretty shade of mint called key west as well as white acrylic paint.

I mixed the two paint colors to lighten up the mint shade, and then painted the pumpkin.
I used the colors out of the bottles to add a little shading/depth to the pumpkin and then
when the paint was dry I used a little hot glue to place it onto my sign.

Then I added a fun bow.
I used some sheer black ribbon as well as a piece of burlap (both purchased at dollar tree) and then I went ahead and added the original bow to the sign as well.

I attached the hanger to the back with some more hot glue and I think this turned out so pretty to tuck into a bookshelf, or hang up on the wall.

The next project I worked on was a wreath.

I chose to use this wood truck that I had also picked up at dollar tree and used the same colors.

I painted the pumpkins a fun shade of orange then when the paint dried I used a little hot glue to attach it to my wreath form.

I used a fun layered bow with mint ribbon as well as a pretty leaf design then added a small pumpkin to the center.

I also added a piece of burlap across the wreath with one of the metal words that I had also found at dollar tree.

So much fun!

For the last project today I used a pumpkin sign and flipped it over and painted it white.

Then I used the same mint color to add some detail and make the pumpkin shape really stand out.

I painted the stem a pretty shade of green.

Then I added another one of the metal words to the pumpkin as well as reattached the metal leaf/bow that was on the front of the sign to begin with.

I am so happy with how these turned out!

I am really enjoying all the fun touches of mint mixed in with my fall decor this year!

What colors are you using for fall this year, traditional colors only? or do you mix in other colors as well?

Blessings,
 - Tina
